This site is going to have some information about my awards/medals.
First, a bit about me. I’m a total fanatic when it comes to volunteer work. I simply love it. That’s why you’ll find awards from all kinds of organizations.
I work part-time as a firefighter and I volunteer in the Civil Defense and Home Guard. Besides that I also volunteer for a series of international NGOs.
Medals approved for wear in Denmark
In Denmark, the rules for wearing of medals is pretty strict compared to other European nations. Before wearing a foreign medals on uniforms, you have to apply for a permission to wear the medal. The rules are very strict and only medals approved by the Royal House can be worn on uniforms. Below are the medals awarded to me, that are approved by the Danish Royal House and may be worn on the uniforms of the armed forces.

Kingdom of Bunyoro-Kitara medals and awards
Below are the medals awarded to me, by the Ugandan Kingdom of Bunyoro-Kitara. Bunyoro-Kitara is a subnational constitutional monarchy, located in western Uganda. The Kingdom is one of the oldest kingdoms in Africa and was at it highest one of the most influential kingdoms in Central Africa. The Kingdom was abolished by dictator Idi Amin and was reinstated in 1993, when Uganda once again became a democratic nation.
The current head is His Majesty Omukama (King) Solomon Iguru I. My relation to the Kingdom, is that I serve as a volunteer for the Kingdom, working to promote the Kingdom (I’m even doing it, just by making you read these two sections) and to do fundraising. I started volunteering for the Kingdom in 2010, but haven’t been active in the recent years – unfortunately some of the other volunteers have started turning everything into a degree-mill with their own homemade titles and honors.

Lazarus Union (CSLI)
The Lazarus Union is an international NGO based in Austria. The union formerly known as CSLI and CSLO (Corps Saint Lazare) works with a broad range of charities, from donations of food to the homeless to civil protection work. The Austrian branch of CSLI holds “flying days” and it is composed of a wide array of activities that the handicapped can try – free of charge. The Italian branch is very active in civil protection and have had a wide array of tasks for the government during the Covid pandemic.
The Lazarus Union was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017.
I’ve been a member of the Danish chapter since 2009 and one of our activities have been donation of sleeping bags and tents for the homeless during winter and cooking classes for impoverished families in Copenhagen. I’ve been the national commander of the Danish chapter of CSLI and I’m currently serving on the advisory board.
