Official abbreviation: Hjv.25., Hjv.40., Hjv.50., Hjv.60. and Hjv.70.

25 Years Medal: Instituted 25. November 1973 by Queen Margrethe II.
40 Years Medal: Instituted 6. September 1988 by Queen Margrethe II.
50 Years Medal: Instituted 12. April 2000 by Queen Margrethe II.
60 Years Medal: Instituted 12. June 2009 by Queen Margrethe II.
70 Years Medal: Instituted 18. January 2019 by Queen Margrethe II.

Awarded to volunteers in the Danish Home Guard for 25, 40, 50, 60 and 70 years of service.

Design: Worn in a green ribbon with edges in two shades of blue. The obverse contains the sign of the Home Guard surrounded by a laurel wreath and the reverse have the “FOR FRIVILLIG TJENESTE I HJEMMEVÆRNET” (For volunteer service in the Home Guard).
Older medals have the text “For 25 års frivillig tjeneste i hjemmeværnet” (For 25 years of volunteer service in the Home Guard).

Other information: Official decree (Danish)
The Home Guard medal is, as of 2020, the only Danish medal to have the possibility of three oak leaf devices. Most other Long Service Medals have a maximum of 40 or 50 years.
