Official abbreviation: Jum.M.I.T.
Instituted 12. April 2019 by Queen Margrethe 2nd.
Awarded to personnel within the Ministry of Justice area (police and prison service) who have been deployed on international missions.
The medal may be awarded posthumously and is then given to the next of kin.
If awarded twice a silver oak leaf device is added to the ribbon.
If awarded three times a gold oak leaf device is added to the ribbon.
Personnel who’ve been deployed in the period 1945-2019 will be eligible for a single medal (no devices), no matter the amount of deployments.
Awarded by the Justice Minister
Further information: As of late 2019 the medal is still so new, that there have been no awards and no medals are produced yet. The above ribbon is an artistic representation (a qualified guess) of how to ribbon is going to look, based upon the decree.
