Rank Insignia

This section contains all the rank insignias I have had, sorted by military, EMS and other.
I've tried to explain the fire/ems/CD ranks compared to military ranks. They are 99% comparative, but some things are a bit wierd. Hope it makes sense!

FIRE / EMS / CIVIL DEFENSE

Private EMS provider

Private and 2nd LT given to me at a private fire department/EMS-provider where I used to functioned as a firefighter, EMT, dispatcher* and Station Officer.

*) Emergency Dispatch Officer (Vagtcentralmester) is equivalent to 2nd Lieutenant (løjtnant in the Danish army) or NATO OF1)

Fire Department

Private and 1st LT worn at Albertslund Municipal Firedepartment. I started out as a private, but was promoted in 2014 to Deputy Fire Inspector* , responsible for uniforms, depots, vehicles, personnel-administration etc.

*) Deputy Fire inspector (Viceberedskabsinspektør) is equivalent to 1st Lieutenant (premierløjtnant in the Danish army) or NATO OF1)

Note that the fire department rank above and the two star insignia under "civil defense" are actually the same rank/function.
The 5-point star "the pyramid" is used with the Civil Defense Association uniform for parades (dress uniform) and instructor-duty (First aid and CRT for civilians).
The 6-point star "the flower" is used on the municipal/fire department uniform for daily use.

Civil Defense

The "Orange B" rank is a private firefighter with SCBA/Smoke Diver training in the Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) before 2009.
The "Flame and shield" rank is a private firefighter with SCBA/Smoke Diver training in the Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) after 2009. The golden edges are for volunteers, conscripts have the insignia without golden borders.
The 5 pointed stars are the rank insignia of the Danish Civil Defense Association, where I'm second in command in Albertslund.

Note that the civil defense rank above and the two star 1st LT rank under "fire department" are actually the same rank/function.
The 5-point star "the pyramid" is used with the Civil Defense Association uniform for parades (dress uniform) and instructor-duty (First aid and CRT for civilians).
The 6-point star "the flower" is used on the municipal/fire department uniform for daily use.

OTHER

Corps Saint Lazare International CSLI

2nd Lieutenant - Major - Majorgeneral (Advisory Board)
An honorary 2nd Lieutenant rank was given to me as a thanks for translating a HUGE part of the, then, German-only website CSLI.at.
I stayed with the CSLI and got the rank of Major CSLI as "Commander in Chief of Denmark". I later resigned as CIC and gave the task to another person. The CSLI in Denmark are very active in supporting the homeless in Copenhagen with food, blankets, tents, etc. especially during the winter.
On the general assembly in March 2014 I was voted into the Advisory Board as a member.
